Alpha and Omega

The first and the last letter of the Greek alphabet. The expression is used in the New Testament to denote the eternity of Jesus. " I am the Alpha and the Omega, said the Lord God, which is and which was and which is to come, the Almighty " (Revelation, 1., 8; cp. vs. 11 and xxi. 6, xxii. 13).
