Bamachari

A sub-division of the Hindu sect known as Saktas (q.v.). The Bamachari are left-handed Saktas, i.e., worshippers of Sakti, the female force in Nature, personified as a goddess. They are so called as distinguished from the right-handed Saktas and the extreme Saktas. See J. C. Oman, B.T.M.I.
