An epilogue, but more generally a recitation of the whole of the Qur’an. (Kharm, "concluding.") Mr. Lane in his Arabian Nights (vol. i. p. 382), says the most approved and common mode of entertaining guests at modern private festivities, is by a khatmah, which is the recitation of the whole of the Qur’an.
